Every Speedmaster strap guide ever written starts from the same place: a black dial, white printing, steel case, and no colour to work with.
Then there is this one.
The Silver Snoopy Award has a blue ceramic bezel, blue PVD hour markers and hands, three blue subdials, and a silver dial laser-engraved Ag925 underneath all of it. Blue is not an accent here. It is half the watch. That makes the 310.32.42.50.02.001 the only Speedmaster where the usual advice — keep it monochrome, let the dial lead — is simply wrong.
The fit: 20mm, nothing to select
Your Snoopy is the 42mm Speedmaster case, so the lug width is 20mm. Same as every other Moonwatch, which means straps swap straight across if you own more than one.
Every strap in our Speedmaster collection is cut to 20mm and there is no width dropdown to get wrong. The only decision is buckle colour, and on this watch silver is the one — the case is steel and the dial is silver, so a black or gold buckle introduces a fourth material to a watch that already has three colours in play.

What you own
Omega released this in 2020 for the 50th anniversary of the Silver Snoopy Award, given to the brand by NASA astronauts in 1970 in recognition of its contribution to space exploration — including Apollo 13.
The 42mm steel case follows the fourth-generation Speedmaster shape, at around 14.5mm thick with a 47.2mm lug-to-lug, water resistant to 50 metres. The bezel ring is blue ceramic with the tachymeter scale in white enamel, dot over ninety included. Inside is the Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibre 3861 with roughly 50 hours of reserve.
The dial carries an embossed silver Snoopy medallion on the blue subdial at 9 o'clock, in the style of the actual award pin. And the caseback is the part that matters most for what follows: behind a NAIAD LOCK, the far side of the moon is rendered on the sapphire, an Earth disc rotates once per minute in sync with the small seconds, and when you run the chronograph, an animated craft carries Snoopy around the back of the moon.
It came on a blue nylon fabric strap with the Apollo 13 trajectory embossed into the lining.
Why this watch specifically needs a rubber strap
Three reasons, and they compound.
It was designed to be used. That caseback animation only runs when you run the chronograph. A watch whose best feature is only visible in operation is a watch that punishes you for keeping it in a safe.
But the factory strap makes people precious. Nylon fabric frays at the keeper, fades, and takes on wrist oils. Yours has the Apollo 13 trajectory embossed in the lining and it is part of a complete set that people pay a premium for. Wearing it hard costs you money later — so most owners simply don't wear the watch hard, which defeats the point above.
And fabric adds height to a watch that has none to spare. At around 14.5mm this is already a tall Speedmaster, and a fabric strap passes underneath the case rather than wrapping the lugs. A fitted rubber strap drops the whole thing back onto your wrist.

Four that work
The palette is unusual for a Speedmaster: silver, blue, and a single white element. Each pick below answers one of them.
1. Black with a blue line — the one this watch was waiting for
Black body, one clean blue line. The line answers the ceramic bezel and the blue PVD hands directly; the black keeps everything grounded so the silver dial still reads as the brightest thing on the watch.
This is the pick that looks deliberate rather than matched. Full blue commits the whole wrist to a colour the watch only uses in three places; a blue line uses it in exactly the proportion the dial does. 2. Navy blue — match the strap Omega chose
The full-commitment version, and it has the strongest possible precedent: Omega sold this watch on a blue strap. Navy rubber is the everyday, water-safe, fray-proof equivalent of the fabric one, and it keeps the watch looking exactly as its designers intended.

3. Grey — answer the dial instead of the bezel
The one nobody tries. Every instinct on this watch is to chase the blue, but the dial is silver — and grey rubber is the only strap that picks that up rather than the bezel.
The effect is worth seeing: with grey below it, the silver dial stops being a background for the blue and becomes the subject, and the blue elements read as markings on a silver instrument rather than the watch's colour scheme. 4. White — answer the enamel
There is exactly one white element on this watch, and it is not printed: the tachymeter scale is white enamel on blue ceramic. A white strap picks that up and, against a silver dial, keeps the whole watch bright and light.
